So you want to explore the Scottish Highlands but don’t know where to start? I’ve put together a 10 day Scotland road trip itinerary just for you! Starting and ending in Edinburgh you can easily catch a flight in if you are from overseas. This itinerary is fully tried and tested as we took this exact road trip last September. So without further ado lets get exploring.
When we first decided to visit Iceland in April I was clueless on the weather and temperatures we would be facing. I did a ton of research on what I needed to take and for the most part it worked well.
We visited for 2 weeks and didn’t plan on doing any washing so I felt it was harder to work out how many of each item we would need.
I did end up overpacking slightly (as I always do!) so I have refined my list below to what I actually used.
On the 1st March Marie Curie launched their garden of light, a beautiful tribute to the work of their nurses. The garden features 2,100 illuminated daffodils and each one represents a Marie Curie Nurse here in the UK. The project was inspired by the handmade poppy installation at the Tower of London in 2014. Although nowhere near as large scale it was still a moving experience.
Next Spring I will finally be taking on one of my bucket list adventures. A 2-week road trip around Iceland. Iceland has been on my radar for what seems the longest time. Its natural beauty has captivated me and I simply cannot wait to see it with my own eyes.
Waterfalls, geysers, canyons, glacier lagoons, hot springs, lava fields, fjords… why would you not want to visit this enchanting place?
