Location

The hotel is located at the corner of Hollywood and Highland. Its views of the Hollywood sign and hills is simply magnificent.

Out the front you will find the Hollywood Walk of Fame and the TCL Chinese Theatre.

If you fancy some shopping or a bite to eat the hotel is directly connected to the Hollywood and Highland Centre.

Parking

We chose to self-park and drove ourselves into the car park. From the car park there are elevators to take you up into the shopping mall. Once you have wandered around for a bit and got lost you should come across an entrance to the Loews Hollywood Hotel. Inside you take another elevator down to the lobby.

Check In

We walked into the spacious lobby and straight up to a check in attendant. Within 10 minutes we were checked in, it was a simple, painless process. As a bonus the check in attendant upgraded our room free of charge as we were on our Honeymoon.

Room

We had booked a standard King room but were delighted to be upgraded to a Studio King Suite with Hollywood Sign views on check in.

The suites have a full wall length window with views of either the Hollywood Sign or the Los Angeles skyline.

The room was crisp, clean and modern. I was impressed. The king size bed was super comfy, especially after a long flight from London.

It was a spacious 622 square feet, we felt like VIP guests. There is a desk and chair for business travellers and a cute little seating area with coffee table.

The bathroom was modern and super clean. In our room, there was a sink area with another desk opposite which lead into the large bathroom with glass enclosed shower and toilet.

Room Service

In room dining is available from 6.30am to 11pm. On our first night we ordered room service as we were so tired! We ordered one full meal, some side dishes, drinks and a desert which came to around $80.

We didn’t order anything fancy but the food was lovely and the portions were large.

The only thing I would say is that there isn’t a table to eat at. We had to eat around the coffee table which was a bit awkward.

Facilities

The hotel has a fifth-floor pool which we unfortunately didn’t have time to use during our short 2-night stay. We did venture out there to have a look one evening and the area was very clean and the views were amazing.

The hotel also has a Spa and Fitness Center which you can use, we didn’t during our stay.

Overall

We really enjoyed our stay at the Loews Hollywood Hotel. The hotel was spotlessly clean and spacious. The rooms were modern and well maintained. There isn’t a lot nearby but the location was an ideal base for exploring LA by car.
